Administration Building Sunken Gardens
|
Placed on the Register of Historic National Places, the
historic city hall stood as the civic center of Atascadero
housing an exhibition hall, a library, a telephone exchange,
a bank, and the Colony Holding Corporation offices. It
was located in the center of the Colony to facilitate the
transport, processing, and sale of goods from residents in
the agricultural cooperative. Severe earthquake damage
from the December 22, 2003 San Simeon earthquake has
interrupted the historical and cultural accessibility of the
Administration Building. However, as plans continue to
move forward in the repair of this beautiful and historic
building, community events continue to take place in the
recently restored Sunken Gardens.
The North County Farmers Market takes place every
Wednesday in the Sunken Gardens. Local farmers and
artisans offer premium produce and products for sale.
Enjoy great music, specialty nights, terrific food and
beverages. We're proud of this weekly community event!

its doors in 2004. In addition to the 52 rooms and
suites, it is a culinary destination, embracing the essence
of the wine region. Visitors and locals enjoy live piano
music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening in
the DeVine Piano Lounge.
